01 — ABOUT
Sixteen years old. Ten years ahead of my CV.
My name is Nikolas Gaitanaros — Nick Gaitan — and I’m 16, from Nikaia in Athens. I started messing with computers long before I understood it was a job — breaking things, rebuilding them, and asking "but why does it work like that?". My first site went live when I was 10.
I never stopped. HTML and CSS led to JavaScript, JavaScript led to Linux and Docker, that led to networking, Cloudflare and servers, and lately to AI and automation. No school for it, no courses — just documentation, trial, error and a lot of late nights.
Today I design and build websites and infrastructure for real businesses serving real customers every day. I don’t hand over a template with a different logo. I do the strategy, the design, the code and the server setup myself — which is why the pieces actually fit together.
I’m not interested in building something that merely looks good. I’m interested in building something that still works at 3am while nobody is watching.

A personal AI operating system for the whole homelab. Real data in real time, Claude as the brain and full control over the infrastructure.
NEXUS OS is an active personal project running every day in my homelab. What follows describes architecture and roadmap — not commercial performance claims.
Architecture
Select a layer for detailsEvery way to talk to the system: web console, an iPhone app (PWA), push-to-talk voice and Telegram — with a login that remembers every device.
An event bus tying every subsystem together: monitors, security rules, alerts and scheduled jobs, with cooldowns so nothing turns into spam.
Conversation memory and event history in PostgreSQL, caching in Redis. The data stays on my own server.
AI Chat and Voice are answered by Claude through Claude Code — no API key anywhere in the code. Speech recognition and synthesis run locally (Whisper, Piper). Background features send nothing to an AI.
The smart devices of the house through Home Assistant: lights, sensors and scenes on the same event bus as the servers.
Containers on a Linux server (Debian 13) running every day, a FastAPI core, nginx reverse proxy, Glances on every machine and a host collector every 30 seconds. Tailscale-only access, nightly backups.

Claude sysadmin agent
Claude runs on the server: morning and evening reports, fixes only low-risk issues on its own, everything else with my approval via Telegram.
Voice pipeline
Push-to-talk → local speech-to-text → Claude → local text-to-speech. In Greek and English, from desktop or iPhone.
Smart home & infra
Controls lights and sensors, while also knowing the state of the servers and backups.
Email & calendar
Proton Mail through Bridge and Proton Calendar, read-only — nothing gets marked as read.

I’m Nikolas Gaitanaros — Nick Gaitan — 16, from Nikaia in Athens. I’ve been building digital systems since I was 10 and today I have six live projects serving real businesses every day.
Premium websites and eShops, AI platforms and agents, cloud infrastructure on Linux and Docker, gaming ecosystems (FiveM, Discord, launchers), brand identity and technical SEO.
Per project, not per hour. After a short brief you receive a proposal with clear scope, deliverables, timeline and total cost before anything starts. Most projects land between €120 and €600.
Not for premium builds. Code is written custom in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for maximum speed, security and control. WordPress is only recommended when a specific content workflow requires it.
Monitoring, backups, security updates and data-driven optimisation continue. Support is part of the process, not a separate product.
NEXUS OS is designed and built by Nikolas Gaitanaros (Nick Gaitan), 16, from Nikaia, Greece. It is a personal project — unrelated to Cisco NX-OS, Cornell’s Nexus OS, or any other product with a similar name.
